Solarly

Trevor Peterson Web Design

The Overview

Solarly's main goal with their website was to have a design that represented the work they do, as well as conveying the importance of getting electricity to rural homes. With this design I really had a fun time working on forward-thinking animations and sections that exceeded the clients request. Solarly is now doing better than ever in their mission to bring electricity to rural homes.

To create a user-friendly website that conveys Solarly's mission as well as showing what steps people can do to help them reach their the goal.

Frame Expanded

The Process

Before any project begins I like to highlight goals, and communicate what the clients deem as must-haves/non-negotiables. With long-term growth front of mind I conducted research to determine what ways Solarly could enhance their current branding strategy and website design. After numerous testing, prototyping, and surveying I answered some questions like:

How with this increase engagement?

What standards will be best represented on the website?

What design choices promote our mission statement best?

Etc

The Execution

The value enhancing design strength I used came from the above preliminary research, and with the right answers to the questions – I was able to deliver a custom branding strategy and a website that is search engine optimized, delivers information seamlessly, and is built thoughtfully with the standards of current UI/UX best practices.
